Assisted Voluntary Return from Denmark - ad hoc programme
miq0047_cIOM Helsinki provides Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR) services to asylum seekers and other migrants in Denmark in cooperation with various Danish partners on an ad hoc basis. The costs of the travel arrangements are invoiced to the relevant Danish partner. Migrants and/or their representatives may submit voluntary return applications directly to IOM Helsinki that will make travel arrangements and assist with issuance of travel documentation, as necessary. IOM also assists at departure from Copenhagen Airport. Since 2003, IOM Helsinki has assisted more than 550 migrants to return voluntarily from Denmark under the AVR ad hoc programme.
